Microsoft has just rolled out a new version of its To-Do app for Android, and although just one feature is part of the release, there’s a good chance you’re going to be pleased.

Starting with version 1.45, Microsoft To-Do supports multiple accounts, so when you set up new tasks, you can easily separate them between work and personal life.

This is a welcome improvement for several reasons. First of all, it means that those who use multiple accounts can configure them inside the app and thus manage their tasks on the go.

Then, it enables Android users to stick with the To-Do app for both personal stuff and work-related activities, so they won’t have to install a different application just for this. In other words, the To-Do app is now the right choice regardless of how you use it.

Exclusive to Android for the time being

Microsoft announced the update on Twitter and said that separating the personal life and work tasks was the main idea behind this new feature.

"Movies we should watch together”, “Chores” or that “New job search” list —scared of accidentally sharing a list with your boss? We now support multiple accounts on Android (update 1.45), so you can keep your personal life separate from your work life,” it said.

Oddly enough, this feature is available on Android exclusively, but there’s a good chance that it would be released to the other supported platforms anytime soon.

We have reached out to the company for more information regarding the other versions of the To-Do app and we’ll update the article when new details in this regard as shared. In the meantime, Android users are the only ones getting multiple account support.
